Stream".

Virtual Stream
invest £100 000 in new office and staff
- 02.08.09
Virtual Stream has
invested over £100 000 in staff and a new
office.
Virtual Stream has moved to bigger and brighter
premises in North Silver Street. The new office boasts state of the art IT infrastructure, allowing the company to demonstrate
the latest infrastructure technologies. “As an IT infrastructure
business, we’ve always been at the forefront of virtualisation,
and our new office allows us to demonstrate all of the leading
vendors’ virtualisation offerings as well as application and
desktop virtualisation.”
“Whilst many IT providers will try and advise on areas
like cloud computing, we understand better than most what this
can mean. We tie together the needs of a business and how IT can
help achieve those business needs and aims.”
Director of Virtual Stream, Russell Robertson, says he
is thrilled with securing the new premises and is looking
forward to engaging more with local business. Changes have also
taken place which allows the directors to take a more hands on
role in business development.
“Our development to date has largely been word of
mouth. After been referred recently to a potential client in the
oil & gas industry we were told that we should be communicating
our abilities better. We’ve been working hard to ensure the
directors to take more prominent role in business development.
Business Gateway has been huge help in supporting us developing
in this area.”
“We are on track to beat our target for 2009-2010 turn
over, despite the downturn and with the development in the way
the business is promoted, we are looking forward to fantastic
growth in the business.
“Our growth has always been dependant on retaining and
recruiting good staff – and in that regard, our training and
development in personnel holds us in good stead. We know we
spend more per head on training than many global companies as
this was one of the first areas where cuts were made.
This investment is one area which should allow us to
gain our Investors in People award by the middle of the year and
continue to recruit the best staff in the industry.”
